Sold off a table

sold online.
Without A Doubt is a small independent label out of Perth. Everything below is ours: drawn here, sampled here, and carried to four markets before there was a checkout button to press.
What follows is the whole catalogue, and the reason each piece is built the way it is.

Standing behind a table for a day tells you things a dashboard never will. Which design gets picked up first. Which one goes back down. What someone says to the person they came with before they decide. Anything that didn't survive that isn't on this page.
Those are our own photographs, taken between customers and while setting up. The last one is the kitchen the night before a market — there is no warehouse behind this, and that is the part of running a clothing label you cannot do from a laptop.

Salt & Tide Crewneck
$79.99 AUD

Body, sleeves and ribbing are three separate panels of fleece, cut and sewn together. The cheap way is to press a colour block onto a finished blank; look at the shoulder seam and you can see where one panel stops and the next starts.
450gsm is the number that matters. That's the weight you want pulling something on over salt-damp skin when you don't intend to change again before dark. Dense enough to take the chill out of you, stiff enough to hold its shape once the sand has been shaken out of it.
The crest is stitched through the fabric rather than printed on top of it, so there is nothing on the front that can crack along a fold.

How it gets made
How a piece
earns its spot
The drawings start outside. The water, the light sitting on it, whatever is growing on the walk back up. After that it's samples until the thing behaves: holds its shape, keeps its colour, comes out of the machine looking like it went in.
Where there's a choice between a print and a stitch, it's the stitch. Between spending on the fabric and spending on telling you about the fabric, it's the fabric. That's most of the decision-making, honestly.
It's also why the list is short: four collections, 18 things in the shop, and nothing on this page a stranger hasn't already picked up and put back down.
Every photograph on this site is our own stock on a cream sheet. No stock imagery anywhere, which is a cheap claim to check and an easy one to fail.

The octopus, the turtle and the whale shark are embroidered into the knit, not printed onto it. That is why they still look like themselves after a wash.
The nylon and the elastane in the blend are the reason the cuff still grips at the end of a long day instead of pooling round your ankle.
Cheapest way into the label, and the easiest thing to add when you are a few dollars short of the $90 free-shipping line.

100% cotton, cut oversized so it hangs rather than clings, in an off-white cream instead of optic white.
Every graphic was drawn for this label. Nothing is licensed off a marketplace, which is also why there are four of them and not four hundred.

Short on purpose — this is the whole range, not a selection from it. The plane turns up again on the email that tells you your order has been posted.
